About Horse Camp
The busiest time for ministry at JOY Ranch is during our summer camp programming. Each year, hundreds of kids come to Joy of Living to participate in a variety of activities. A consistent favorite is the horse program, but we can't forget about the other animals on the ranch. These animals have impacted the lives of many children and adults who have come from broken backgrounds and need comfort.
You have the opportunity to interact with the horses as part of our regular summer camp, but we also offer horse camp. This is a great option for those that would prefer a fun filled week with activities both on and off horse back. In addition, there is dedicated time to help children grow closer to God.
Most of our time at horse camp will be spent learning horsemanship skills, proper care, and riding techniques. Whether learning new skills, enjoying a trail ride, or just hanging out with new friends; horse camp is filled with fun for everyone. Our Joy Ranch manager is CHA certified and upholds their standards for safety and knowledge. *CHA - Certified Horsemanship Association
