Horse Camp is open to children ages 8 - 15.  These overnight camp experiences have a limited capacity of 10 campers per week.

There will be three weeks of horse camps offered this year:

June 10 - 14      Level 1

June 17 - 21      Level 2

June 24 - 28   Level 1

Level 1: The fundamentals of horse care, riding and working toward controlling their horse safely and confidently will be taught to campers. They will aslo enjoy trail rides and exciting off-the-back events that will help them hone their skills.

Level 2: We will expand on their level 1 experiences as campers gain confidence in their ability to handle their horse at a trot and learn the basics of canter. There will also be lots of fun with intermediate level games, riverside trail rides and much more.

The cost is $550.00 for the week. This fee includes lodging, meals, and camp activities following a day spent with our amazing horses.  A $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot. Note: We have a limited number of scholarships available.

Adventures at Camp

After a long day at the ranch, another way to enjoy camp is engaging in the many activities that are offered during our summer season. There will be a variety of different activities throughout our week that will add to the fun. Some examples are tubing down the river, archery, challenge events, and the game room.

Devotional Time

Joy of Living is a special place to grow closer to God while being surrounded by His beautiful creation. Throughout the week, we will learn the many ways we can relate horses and animals to scripture. In addition to joining the camp's chapel time, we will have time set aside for personal and group devotionals.

Experience the Ranch

Most of our time at horse camp will be spent learning horsemanship skills, proper care, and riding techniques. Whether learning new skills, enjoying a trail ride, or just hanging out with new friends; horse camp is filled with fun for everyone. Our Joy Ranch manager is CHA certified and upholds their standards for safety and knowledge. *CHA - Certified Horsemanship Association
